Shiitake mushrooms totally rock, right? Did you know their name comes from the Japanese word 'shii', which is the name of the tree that they grow on? Some studies show that the mushrooms may enhance immune function and benefit those with certain types of cancers. They also may increase the body's resistance to dangerous pathogens. Cool, huh?
